Lou IV returns

AviationPosted by Peter Smith Tue, September 04, 2018 18:15:35

Sadly, back in 2007 P-51 Mustang 'Lou IV' came to grief on landing taking the life of the pilot. Whilst nothing can change the tragedy the aircraft has been the subject of a long restoration as described here and is now certified and ready to fly once more.

You scooped me again Peter. When my daughter and I went to her ball tournament in Prince Albert, SK, I was looking to see how close I would be to this gentlemen's shop. Too far and not enough time unfortunately. I followed a few threads on WIX but no news for so many years. Good to hear it's close to flight.

Sad history to this aircraft, as you point out Peter, but the restoration looks splendid.
