Canadian Lancasters Fate

When looking up something on Lancasters, I stumbled on this page from Vintage Wings' website. Pierce, Alberta is not too far from Clairsholm, which if you remember I posted some pictures here of the old BCATP base I explored. Such a sad ending as for many warbirds but very interesting article.

For sure Peter. When I was reading about RNZAF surplus P-51s the other day, the writer was insinuating one could be purchased for about 30 pounds back in 1958. If we all had a crystal ball. Talk about a nest egg!
