B-24 Ruth-Less

Whilst on a mission to Pas De Calais in February 1944 this B-24 suffered flak damage to both starboard engines. Whilst trying to reach the ELG at Friston it struck a hill top in poor weather not far from Beachy Head sadly with the loss of all 10 crew. A memorial has been erected at the crash site.

Looks like a nice hike to get there. I truly appreciate when I see remembrance plaques like this.
